Creditors Clerk

Job Description:

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously
• Prepare and maintain supplier reconciliations
• Resolve supplier account queries and discrepancies
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs
• Process and maintain creditor account allocations
• Perform bank reconciliations and cashbook processing
• Assist with month-end accounting procedures
• Maintain accurate filing and supporting documentation
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding account queries
• Ensure compliance with company financial controls and procedures

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a Creditors or Accounts Payable environment
• Proven supplier reconciliation experience
• Experience processing supplier payments
• Strong bank reconciliation experience
• Good understanding of accounting principles
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Sage, Pastel, Xero or similar accounting software experience advantageous
• Immediately available candidates will receive preference
• Open to candidates willing to work in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town

Qualification:

• Relevant Finance, Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification advantageous
• Practical experience will be considered where qualifications are not yet complete
