Job Description:

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you'll take ownership of designing seamless digital experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and accessible. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, solve business challenges, and deliver products that users genuinely enjoy interacting with.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting user research, user interviews, and usability testing
Translating complex requirements into intuitive user experiences
Creating wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, task flows, and interaction models
Developing user personas and leveraging user insights to inform design decisions
Defining and improving end-to-end customer journeys
Working closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
Presenting design concepts, prototypes, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Improving accessibility, usability, and user engagement across digital platforms
Contributing to UX/UI standards, governance frameworks, and design consistency
Staying current with emerging UX/UI trends, technologies, and industry best practices

Skills & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer in a product-focused or technology-driven environment
Strong experience conducting user research and usability testing
A portfolio showcasing user-centred design solutions and delivered digital products
Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, information architecture, and interaction design
Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and accessibility standards
Experience collaborating with developers and product teams in agile environments
Ability to balance business objectives with user needs
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
A passion for creating exceptional digital experiences

Qualification:

BCom Informatics, BEng, BSc, or equivalent tertiary qualification
