Job Description:

As a Software Engineer (C++), you will join a collaborative Agile SCRUM team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing complex software solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new software features using C++ and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications
  • Analysing technical and business requirements to identify optimal software solutions
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing applications
  • Investigating and resolving software defects and customer-reported issues
  • Collaborating with developers, testers, and support teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Researching and evaluating new technologies, tools, and development approaches
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and development best practices
  • Building expertise within a specialised engineering-focused software environment

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong commercial C++ development experience
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to produce high-quality, maintainable, and well-structured code
  • Experience working within Agile SCRUM development environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for software development and continuous learning
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-focused engineering environment

Qualification:

  • BSc Computer Science, or
  • BEng degree with a strong mathematics focus
