Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Java) to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and cloud-native solutions for next-generation data security products.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality backend applications using Java.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable systems.
• Build event-driven services using Kafka.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and improve application performance.
• Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and scale applications on AWS cloud services.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including code reviews and testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Strong SQL/database fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of distributed systems.
• Familiarity with security or data protection technologies.
• CI/CD and Git experience.
