Financial Analyst

We are looking for a hands-on Junior Finance Analyst who enjoys working with numbers, accounting and financial analysis, and is excited about using AI, automation and modern tools to improve finance processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse financial reports, MIS and management reports.
• Work on P& L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements and understand the underlying accounting entries.
• Support month-end and periodic financial closing activities.
• Manage and reconcile Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyse revenue, expenses, costs and other financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Support Budget vs Actuals analysis and other financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with preparation of financial schedules, reports and management insights.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and accounting records.
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve finance and accounting-related queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate recurring finance processes using Excel, ERP systems, AI tools and other technology.
• Support the senior finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with: P& L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Month-end closing, Account reconciliation, Financial reporting.
• Ability to understand how individual accounting transactions flow through the ledger, trial balance and financial statements.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned work.
• A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
• Interest in AI, automation and new finance technologies is highly preferred.

Preferred:

• Experience in a startup, scale-up, product or SaaS company.
• Exposure to MIS, FP& A or management reporting.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting software.
• Experience in process improvement or finance automation.
• Candidates who demonstrate strong practical accounting knowledge rather than only theoretical exposure.
