Equine Operations Technician

The Equine Operations Technician will work closely with the billing, underwriting and claim teams to service the book of business accurately and efficiently with an emphasis on exceptional customer service to external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

• Communicate with policyholders, address questions, resolve problems and maintain rapport
• Work cohesively with claims, underwriting, billing, agents and outside vendors as required.
• Perform technical claim, billing and underwriting duties to include new claim set up, payment issuance, policy creation, preparing accounts to be modelled and data entry.
• Maintain accurate and timely status of files within systems throughout the underwriting and claims life cycle.
• Responsible for handling incoming calls from clients regarding policy, claims and billing inquiries during business hours.
• Assist with data reporting leveraging available tools such as Power Bi Automate and Excel.
• Pursue professional development and training for development of product knowledge, skills for the role and any personal goals set with leader.
• Pursue adjuster or agent license.
• In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.
• Other duties as assigned

• Computer skills – good working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and other databases

• Strong communications skills both verbally and written, adept at conveying information clearly and effectively
• Ability to manage time and projects effectively

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Prior insurance and/or billing experience preferred.
• Equine industry experience and/or equine knowledge preferred
