Job Overview

We are looking for an Corporate IT Security Lead to build and run a scalable security function covering corporate endpoints, workforce access, SaaS, browsers, collaboration platforms and other employee-facing technology.

This is a hands-on leadership role, and the person will be expected to establish repeatable security processes, improve coverage across the corporate technology estate, and reduce reliance on manual security work by embedding controls into platforms and engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Security Strategy and Risk

• Build and maintain a clear view of the major security risks across corporate endpoints, workforce access, browsers, SaaS and collaboration platforms.
• Translate those risks into a prioritized security roadmap and practical control requirements.
• Identify systemic gaps and drive solutions that improve security across the environment rather than addressing issues one system at a time.

Scalable Security Processes

• Build repeatable processes for assessing corporate technologies, identifying control gaps and tracking remediation.
• Define clear security baselines, review criteria and exception processes (alongside GRC function)
• Increase security coverage without linearly increasing team size through automation, standardization, self-service and platform-level controls.
• Establish metrics for coverage, control effectiveness, exceptions and residual risk.

Security Architecture and Control Effectiveness

• Define and evolve security expectations for managed devices, browsers, identity and access, SaaS, data handling and privileged activity.
• Work with IT and engineering teams to implement controls at the platform level wherever possible.
• Independently verify that important controls are operating as intended rather than relying only on configuration or policy documentation.

Cross-Organization Influence

• Work with Corporate IT, IAM, Security Engineering and business technology owners to drive improvements across organizational boundaries.
• Influence technical and operational decisions without requiring direct ownership of the underlying platforms.
• Provide senior technical judgement on significant corporate security issues, architectural decisions and exceptions.

Team Leadership and Function Building

• Manage and develop a small Corporate IT Security team while remaining technically involved in the highest-risk and most complex work.
• Establish a clear operating model, ownership boundaries and prioritisation process for the team.
• Build tooling, processes and partnerships that allow the team's impact to grow faster than its headcount.
• Develop team members and determine where additional specialist capability is genuinely required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in corporate, enterprise or endpoint security within a large or technically complex organization.
• Good technical depth across endpoint security, identity and access, browser security, SaaS security, data protection and privileged access.
• Experience building or operating security programs that cover large user and device populations.
• Demonstrated ability to replace manual or ad hoc security work with repeatable, automated or platform-level controls.
• Experience managing a small technical security team while remaining hands-on.
• Strong track record of influencing IT and engineering teams outside the direct reporting line.
• Comfortable operating across both technical architecture and day-to-day security operations.

Document Return Policy
