Temporary Accounts Assistant - Part-Time (20 hrs/week)

Contract length: 5th October - 27th November 2026 (approx. 2 months) - covering leave for the existing Accounts Assistant

Salary: €50,000 pro-rata

Hours: 20 hours/week (2.5 days)

• Monday: mandatory - full day or morning (required for weekly payroll support)
• Remaining hours: flexible - full days or half days, whichever suits

Location: On-site

Role Overview

Support across day-to-day finance activities, with particular focus on payroll and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and assist with weekly payroll, liaising with HR and the payroll bureau
• Prepare weekly payroll journals
• Prepare monthly journals (Café & Bar income, Depreciation/Amortisation)
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations: pensions, PAYE, floats, front of house lodgement, stock, net pay, salary control a/c, salary deductions control a/c
• VAT filing
• Assist with general accounting and finance duties
• Assist with budget templates
• Support month-end processes and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar accounts/finance role
• Payroll experience, ideally Sage Payroll with ARW
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good organisational and communication skills
