It no longer builds aircraft, and instead supplies highly engineered components and systems for naval nuclear propulsion, commercial nuclear power, aerospace platforms, defence electronics and industrial process equipment. Headquartered in Davidson, North Carolina and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, its position on United States naval reactor programmes is effectively sole-source and underpins much of its earnings.
