Python Developer

We are currently looking for an experienced Python Developer to join an international team delivering modern data and backend solutions for the automotive and remarketing industry.

In this role, you will develop and maintain data pipelines, backend services, and REST APIs that form the core of a central vehicle pricing and intelligence platform. You will work with Python, SQL, Airflow, and relational databases to ingest, transform, model, and expose vehicle and market data while collaborating closely with product owners, architects, and developers in an international environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python and Airflow
• Process and integrate internal vehicle and contract data as well as external market data
• Contribute to the design and evolution of the canonical data model
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and lineage across the platform
• Develop and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs
• Build APIs exposing pricing, vehicle, mapping, and recommendation data to internal consumers
• Implement and maintain integrations with source and downstream systems
• Work with external APIs and event-driven data flows
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
• Implement monitoring and data-quality checks for pipelines and services
• Support applications and data pipelines in production
• Collaborate with product owners, technical architects, scrum masters, and other developers
• Translate pricing and business logic into robust and maintainable software
• Contribute to the Motortrade frontend using Angular as a plus

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a Python Developer with a data or backend focus
• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Experience with data-processing libraries such as pandas
• Experience building REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and/or Oracle
• Hands-on experience designing and building data pipelines
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools, preferably Airflow
• Good understanding of API design and system integration
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Experience with code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices
• Understanding of data quality and reliable software development practices
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with frontend development using Angular
• Experience with cloud data infrastructure and containerization
• Exposure to event streaming technologies such as Kafka
• Familiarity with data-quality and observability tools
• Understanding of machine-learning workflows and collaboration with data scientists
• Experience in the automotive, leasing, pricing, or remarketing industry
