ServiceNow Developer - ITAM (HAM & SAM)

We are looking for a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer with hands-on expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM), including Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). The ideal candidate should have strong ServiceNow development capabilities and experience working with CMDB, integrations, workflows, and service catalog implementation. The candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ServiceNow solutions while ensuring seamless asset lifecycle management and operational efficiency.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

ServiceNow Development:

• Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Build and maintain workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, script includes, and catalog items.
• Customize and enhance ITAM modules, including HAM and SAM.

ITAM / HAM / SAM Management:

• Support and improve Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes.
• Manage asset lifecycle processes, including procurement, allocation, tracking, compliance, and retirement.
• Support software license reconciliation, normalization, and compliance activities.

CMDB and Asset Data Management:

• Maintain and improve CMDB structure, relationships, and data quality.
• Ensure accurate asset and configuration data management across systems.
• Work on discovery, reconciliation, and normalization processes.

Integrations and Automation:

• Develop and manage integrations between ServiceNow and external SaaS platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Configure inbound/outbound integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and data imports.
• Automate workflows and operational tasks within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Service Catalog and Workflow Development:

• Design and implement scalable Service Catalog solutions.
• Create approval workflows, request fulfillment processes, and automation flows.
• Enhance user experience through optimized catalog design and process automation.

Collaboration and Support:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, operations, procurement, and compliance teams.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and platform optimization.
• Provide technical documentation and support for implemented solutions.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong expertise in ITAM modules, especially HAM and SAM.
• Experience in Service Catalog development and workflow implementation.
• Good understanding of CMDB architecture and asset data models.
• Experience with integrations, APIs, data imports, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong scripting knowledge in JavaScript within ServiceNow.
• Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP integrations.
• Understanding of software licensing and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience working with ServiceNow best practices and platform governance.

Preferred Skills:

• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS-SAM, CIS-HAM, or ITSM.
• Experience with Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Exposure to SaaS management and cloud asset tracking.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
