We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our newly formed Legal Tech team at our firm's office in Hyderabad or Bengaluru. The Legal Tech team creates software to support the firm's global legal function. The team develops and maintains critical applications that support legal workflows such as contract lifecycle management, entity management, legal document management, and reporting. These systems often integrate with other internal platforms and require an exceptional focus on accuracy, reliability, and security. Legal is a critical function for the firm, and the breadth of the firm's businesses adds meaningful complexity to the problems the team solves.
In this role, you will execute individual projects and deliverables while collaborating with business groups. You will also be responsible for projects that include performing R& D to evaluate the appropriate technologies to use, resolving application and data issues in production within timelines, and driving complete project lifecycles - from collecting and analyzing requirements to project delivery/deployment to clients. Additionally, you will provide direction and guidance to junior members of the team and participate actively in code and design reviews.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, with an exceptional foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
- At least 8 years of programming experience in Python or equivalent languages, in addition to some or all of the following: React, Redux, RESTful web services, and databases.
- A deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), including evaluation and prompting techniques.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work on complex, ambiguous problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end and drive them to completion.
- Experience building AI-driven automation frameworks, as well as semantic search or knowledge retrieval systems at scale.
