The goal of Damen Song Camis to develop, design and construct a portfolio of tugboats, and high-speedcrafts in the most effective and efficient manner. Primarily based on standardized & smart-customized designs. Damen Song Camis fulfilling current and developing market demands, with well-balanced levels of quality, service, price, and delivery time; thereby providing optimalsolutions for our clients. Our vessels are produced at our yards in Hoang Dong commune, Thuy Nguyen, Vietnamas well as in other countries such as Singapore, China, Turkeyand The Netherlands.
The role
Due to the rapid developments in electrification and automation within the maritime industry and at Damen, we are looking for expansion within the team.Some of the developments we are working on are autonomous sailing, smart and predictive maintenance, hybrid-electrical propulsion systems, etc.

As anElectricalCommissioning Engineer,you are working on a wide variety of tasks. During the project's execution, you will work in a team to deliver the requested engineering documents.You implement deep technical and practical knowledge into solid and innovative designs.
The group Electrical Commissioning engineer works in Commissioning and Sea trial department, which consists of approx. 07 Electrical engineers.The employees are assigned to projects, where they contribute with their expertiseto product definition and delivery of product information.
Key accountabilities
As anElectrical Commissioning Engineer your tasks are the following:
Setting up, operatinginstallationsand finishing testing programs following HAT/SAT protocols for electrical systems
Checking, supportingand coordinating the activity of OEM suppliers during commissioning phase;
Reporting test data in HAT/SAT documents as well as for improvement points/standardization;
In pre-commissioning phase, doing pre checks for cable installations and completeness of connections to support efficient commissioning of systems;
Checking electrical drawings and signaling issues. Providing improvement proposals to the Engineering department;
Participating insea trials phase, during Damen Shipyard supply trips of ships to their client destination, solving issuesthat may arise.
Skills & experience
Tobe successful in this role you bring:
Bachelor’s degree Electrical/ Automation Engineering or another relevant technical study;
About 2-to-5-yearexperience in the design and installation of complex systems;
Experience in the functional development of Electrification and/or Control & Monitoring systems;
You master excellent communication skills in English is a plus.
