[Contract] Software Development Engineer (Backend)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer (SDE / Senior SDE) to join our engineering team and help build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems that support digital insurance products. You will work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, design microservices architectures, and deliver quality software that enables rapid product launches and business growth.

You'll be working on

• Translate business and product requirements into technical specifications, system designs, and implementation plans.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and modern software engineering practices.
• Deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable code while ensuring projects are completed on time.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and drive successful product launches.
• Contribute innovative ideas and technical recommendations to improve architecture, development processes, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Java development, database technologies, and backend application development.
• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices-based systems and scalable architectures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Experience or interest in AI-powered backend solutions and insurance business processes is a strong advantage.
