The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for consistently providing high quality resolution of technical issues / questions and on-going customer support. This position will provide first-level trouble shooting and resolution of customer issues. The incumbent will be given latitude to perform minor warranty maintenance, communicate with Masimo Engineering and Clinical Specialist teams, ship products and parts and catalog customer questions and issues. This position will also provide phone support to customers regarding the proper use and maintenance of Masimo’s products and applications. Ensuring customer satisfaction is critical and must be accomplished by meeting or exceeding their expectations.
Keys to success include detail orientation, speed, and thoroughness in resolving technical issues. This position will also form part of the Masimo Global support umbrella. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Technical Service and is part of the Technical Services - APAC located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Customer Technical Support & Troubleshooting - Provide first-level technical support, troubleshoot issues remotely, answer customer inquiries, and ensure timely closure of support cases.
- RMA & Service Operations - Manage warranty and non-warranty RMAs, process service orders, repair or replace defective products, and coordinate shipment of returned devices.
- Field Service & Installations - Conduct on-site customer visits for troubleshooting, device installations, maintenance checks, and issue resolution.
- Quality, Documentation & Process Improvement - Report field failures and customer complaints, maintain FAQs, review service records, and recommend improvements to support processes and procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Success - Collaborate with Technical Support, Engineering, Marketing, QA, and local teams, provide customer training support, communicate product enhancement ideas, and assist with parts delivery when needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 1 - 3 years related experience in Biomedical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles, troubleshooting, electronics and design
- Required knowledge of networking using TCP/IP protocol in a Wireless environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10/11 Professional operating systems
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb
- Frequent, almost daily travel within Singapore
- Occasional Travel within SEA region
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
2-3 years related experience in Biomedical Engineering or related field
