Production Operator (Extruder) / 3rd Shift

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate assigned extrusion equipment in accordance with approved work instructions, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Set up, load, and monitor rubber compounds, tooling, and related materials used in the extrusion process.
• Observe machine operation and extruded product condition; identify abnormalities and notify the appropriate team lead or supervisor when adjustments or support are needed.
• Perform required in-process quality checks and accurately record production and inspection information.
• Confirm compounds, materials, tooling, dies, and job information match the scheduled production order before and during operation.
• Maintain material identification and good housekeeping standards, including 5S expectations in the assigned area.
• Follow all plant safety rules, required PPE practices, quality procedures, and standard work.
• Support die and tooling changeovers, material changes, routine cleaning, and basic operator care activities as trained and authorized.
• Communicate production, quality, material, and equipment concerns promptly to the appropriate support function.
• Work cooperatively with team members and perform other production duties as assigned and trained.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and accurately complete required production documentation.
• Basic math and measurement skills appropriate for a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and to learn machine-specific operating requirements.
• Ability to work the assigned 3rd-shift schedule and overtime as business needs require.

Physical & Work Environment

This is a manufacturing-floor position that may involve prolonged standing and walking, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, and handling manufacturing materials. Required PPE and site safety practices apply. Specific physical-demand thresholds should be confirmed against the site-approved job demands analysis before posting.
