Regional Operational Procurement Manager

At DAT-Schaub, we're strengthening our Procurement organization across North America and are looking for a Regional Operational Procurement Manager to help drive the next phase of operational excellence.

This is a leadership role with a strong operational focus. You'll lead regional procurement activities while remaining closely involved in daily purchasing operations, supplier management, sourcing initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

We're looking for a pragmatic, hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, working closely with operations, and delivering tangible business results. Someone who is as comfortable negotiating with suppliers and supporting local teams as they are driving improvements across the region.

The Role

As Regional Operational Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient procurement operations across North America, supporting business continuity, improving procurement processes, and delivering value through supplier management and cost optimization initiatives.

You will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams, acting as the key Procurement partner for the region.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Regional Procurement Operations

• Manage and develop the North American operational procurement team.
• Set priorities and ensure procurement activities align with business needs.
• Support procurement colleagues in day-to-day operational challenges.
• Act as the primary Procurement contact for regional stakeholders.

Ensure Supply Continuity

• Secure the timely availability of goods and services critical to operations.
• Support sites in resolving supply issues and supplier-related challenges.
• Coordinate procurement activities across multiple locations.
• Minimize supply risks and support business continuity.

Drive Procurement Performance

• Improve purchasing discipline and procurement compliance.
• Increase visibility and control of external spend.
• Support contract adherence and supplier governance.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Manage Suppliers & Commercial Activities

• Lead supplier negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Drive standardization and supplier consolidation where appropriate.
• Deliver measurable savings while maintaining quality and service levels.

Support Continuous Improvement

• Promote the use of procurement tools, systems, and best practices.
• Support digitalization and process improvement initiatives.
• Help build a more efficient and data-driven procurement organization.
• Share best practices across sites and teams.

• What We're Looking For

  Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
  • Previous experience leading or coordinating procurement teams.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or food production environments is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and procurement performance improvement.
  • Experience working in multi-site environments.

  Compensation

  USD 130,000 - 151,000 annually

  Location

  United States (North America Region)

  Travel within the region will be required.
