Are you an analytical and curious profile with an interest in using data and Python to solve model- and business problems? Would you like to build experience with credit risk and property valuation models in a highly regulated banking environment? Join IRB Framework as an analyst and contribute to improving, maintaining and documenting models that are central to Danske Bank’s risk management and regulatory compliance.

About the team

IRB Framework is part of Group Risk Analytics and is responsible for maintaining and operating Danske Bank’s Internal Ratings Based (IRB) models. Our team covers the Loss Given Default (LGD), Conversion Factor (CF) and Automated Valuation Models (AVM).

You will join an international team working across Denmark and Lithuania, collaborating closely to deliver high quality analytical and technical solutions in a complex regulatory environment. The team works with a mix of recurring processes and analytical and development projects, offering opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.

About the role

We are looking for an Analyst who is motivated to develop skills across data analysis, Python and stakeholder collaboration. You will contribute to tasks covering hands on analytical work and business oriented analysis, both independently and with guidance and support from experienced colleagues.

You will work with data, code, model related analysis and documentation. As your knowledge grows, you will take increasing ownership of tasks, contribute ideas for improvements and strengthen your understanding of credit risk, property valuation and regulatory processes.

Danske Bank offers a flexible and hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days per week onsite. Our culture is rooted in team up, be open and own it, and we actively support both professional and personal development. The position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania and does not include a relocation allowance

What you will be doing

  • Using Python to maintain, improve and gradually migrate existing processes, with support from experienced colleagues; working with SQL where relevant.
  • Supporting the maintenance and operation of credit risk and property valuation models, including investigating data quality issues and model results.
  • Contributing to the analysis and resolution of issues by documenting findings, coordinating input and following agreed actions through to completion.
  • Preparing clear analyses, presentations and documentation for both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Supporting regulatory and governance activities by preparing documentation and explanations of model changes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the team, sharing knowledge and actively participating in continuous improvement.

About you

  • Have up to 3 years of relevant experience from an analytical, data focused or business facing role; relevant student work, internships or graduate experience are also welcome.
  • Have basic practical experience with Python and are willing to develop your coding skills; familiarity with SQL is beneficial.
  • Hold, or are close to completing, a higher education degree in a quantitative or relevant business field, such as economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, finance or data science.
  • Are curious, structured and willing to take initiative while asking for guidance when needed.
  • Can communicate analytical findings clearly and are interested in translating technical topics into accessible business insights.
  • Are collaborative, organized and motivated to learn in a team environment.
  • An interest in credit risk, property valuation, banking or regulated environments is beneficial, but prior experience is not required.
  • Are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

What we offer you

You will become part of a team that values collaboration, ownership and openness, while contributing directly to models that are critical to Danske Bank’s risk management and regulatory compliance.
