Datavant is a health data technology company with corporate executive offices in New York, operating a data collaboration platform and network through which providers, health plans, life sciences companies, researchers, and legal and insurance organisations exchange identified and de-identified patient data. Founded in 2017, it merged with Ciox Health in 2021 and also fulfils medical record requests, clinical record retrieval and HCC risk adjustment coding, with a network connecting more than 80,000 hospitals and clinics. It hires health information and coding supervisors, client success and implementation managers, data scientists, security engineers and finance staff, many in remote roles.

Datavant is the data collaboration platform trusted for healthcare. Guided by our mission to make the world’s health data secure, accessible and actionable, we provide critical data solutions for organizations across the healthcare ecosystem - including providers, health plans, researchers, and life sciences companies. From fulfilling a single patient’s request for their medical records to powering the AI revolution in healthcare, Datavanters are building the future of how data is connected and used to improve health.

By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a driven and highly collaborative team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare.

This role sits within the Strategic Operations team and reports directly to the Director of Strategic Operations. As a trusted partner to the Risk Adjustment COO and broader leadership team, you’ll lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution: taking broad, ambiguous problems, bringing structure to them, and driving them to results. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and teammates at every level. While your core strength is strategy and program management, you’ll also roll up your sleeves on analysis when needed. You’ll have significant visibility, access to senior decision-makers, and the chance to influence the trajectory of a high-growth company from the inside out.

You will:

Strategy & Problem Solving

  • Take broad, ambiguous business problems and bring structure: define the question, develop the approach, and drive toward clear recommendations.
  • Develop and refine strategies, operating models, and playbooks that help teams operate more effectively as the business scales.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials and recommendations, including business reviews and leadership updates.

Program Management & Execution

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives end to end, including work plans, timelines, risk tracking, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive initiatives to completion with both speed and quality, adjusting course as priorities shift.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how the team plans and executes work, and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Partner with leaders and teams across operations, client-facing, and corporate functions to align on priorities and move work forward, often influencing without direct authority.
  • Own key business rhythms, including business reviews, leadership forums, and team development initiatives.
  • Flex into analytical work alongside teammates, building analyses, synthesizing data, and pressure-testing recommendations as needed.

What you will bring to the table:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or program management, ideally in a high-growth, fast-paced setting
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and program management; able to structure ambiguous problems and manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience developing clear, compelling, executive-ready presentations
  • Strong stakeholder management; able to influence without authority and work effectively with senior leaders and colleagues at all levels
  • Working proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides; curious about using AI and new tools to work smarter
  • Self-starter who takes ownership, moves quickly without sacrificing quality, brings ideas forward, and is eager to learn and grow through feedback

Bonus points if:

  • Experience in risk adjustment coding apps and technology
  • Passion for and understanding of the healthcare technology industry
  • Experience coaching or mentoring peers
