We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Platform Engineer to join a large-scale cloud-native data platform programme.

You will work on a GCP-based Data Platform, building platform tooling, self-service capabilities and reusable solutions for Data Engineering, Analytics and Machine Learning teams.

Key requirements:

  • Strong commercial Python

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  • BigQuery

  • Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer

  • Terraform / Infrastructure as Code

  • GitOps and modern software delivery

  • Data Platform / Data Product lifecycle experience

  • PySpark and/or Apache Spark

  • FastAPI / Pydantic

  • CI/CD and source control

  • Agile delivery

  • Strong communication skills

Nice to have: Vertex AI, GenAI/Agentic AI, Backstage, Dataproc, dbt, Kedro, ArgoCD, Crossplane and platform observability.
