Are you an HR Coordinator or HR Specialist looking to grow your career and take on expanded responsibility?

If you’re ready to build on your HR foundation and gain broader experience across multiple areas of human resources, this could be the opportunity for you.

At DecoArt, the HR Generalist plays an important role in supporting the HR Director and daily HR operations across the organization. This is a hands-on, people-focused position offering exposure to recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations support, benefits and leave administration, HRIS management, and payroll coordination.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is eager to continue developing their HR knowledge while supporting employees across multiple locations.

If you’re motivated to learn, grow professionally, and build strong relationships throughout an organization, we’d love to connect.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees across all levels of the organization.
  • Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities for hourly manufacturing and distribution roles; support additional hiring needs as required.
  • Provide administrative support for health and benefit programs, including enrollments, status changes, and disability claims.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes.
  • Organize and maintain personnel files to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Prepare and support HR reporting and workforce metrics as needed.
  • Support administration of leave programs, including FMLA and short-term disability, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with HR best practices and employment law requirements.
  • Support a fast-paced HR environment requiring flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience
  • Demonstrated reliability through a consistent work history and strong professional commitment
  • Experience managing the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating candidate selection
  • Experience supporting benefits administration and leave processes
  • Exposure to multi-state payroll processing or a strong willingness and aptitude to learn quickly
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity experience is a plus but not required)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and related business software
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws or a strong interest in developing in this area
  • Dependable and detail-oriented, with excellent follow-through and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrates initiative by recognizing what needs to be done and taking appropriate action without requiring direction
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and communicates professionally and confidently with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Maintains a positive, approachable demeanor and takes the initiative to build effective working relationships
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Generous paid time off, including company-paid holidays
  • Opportunity to grow and learn alongside passionate, driven colleagues
  • A collaborative environment that challenges you, supports you, and recognizes your contributions

Where You'll Be: 49 Cotton Avenue, Stanford, KY 40484

  • This position is fully onsite and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Relocation assistance is not available.

What We’d Like from You:

  • A resume that showcases your skills, experience, and readiness for this opportunity.
