Role: Quality Inspector

Location: Worksop, S80 3AT

Hours: 40 hours per week, between 06:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday

Hourly rate: up to £17.90 p/hr DOE

Are you passionate about quality and take pride in getting things right first time? We're looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Quality team, helping to ensure products meet the highest standards throughout the manufacturing process. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with production teams, engineers and suppliers to identify issues, maintain quality standards and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

• Inspecting parts, materials and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process, from goods inwards through to finished products.
• Carrying out inspections on welded fabrications, assemblies and painted components against drawings and specifications. 
• Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation. 
• Conducting in-process quality audits and supporting compliance activities.
• Analysing quality data, identifying trends and feeding back improvement opportunities.
• Supporting investigations and helping resolve quality concerns alongside Production Coordinators and Engineers. 
• Assisting with the inspection and testing of finished vehicles when required.

A role with real ownership

This isn't a role where you'll simply follow a checklist.You'll have the autonomy to take ownership of quality within your area, making decisions that help ensure products meet the required standards before progressing through production. You'll be trusted to confirm product quality, support the resolution of issues and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the right outcome.We're looking for someone with a practical, can-do attitude and the tenacity to see issues through to resolution. You'll play an important role in ensuring that quality concerns do not impact the design integrity, performance or visible quality of components, sub-assemblies or finished vehicles.

What we're looking for

You don't need to tick every box, but we'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience inspecting fabricated, welded or assembled products.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using measuring equipment to verify dimensions and product compliance.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work.
• The confidence to communicate quality concerns clearly and constructively.
• A proactive approach and a willingness to challenge issues in a positive and professional way.
