Job Description:
We are looking for a strategically minded and analytically driven Account Manager for our Retail Media practice to provide strategic oversight and guidance on retail media search campaigns for key client accounts. This position focuses on developing and executing best-in-class search campaign strategies across retail media networks while maintaining strong client partnerships. You will have the opportunity to be part of a growing business unit focused on driving measurable business impact through innovative retail media search strategies, in the context of a data-driven approach. This position reports to the Group Director, Retail Media.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the strategic lead for retail media search campaigns for assigned accounts, including:
Developing comprehensive retail media search strategies aligned with client business objectives and KPIs
Providing strategic oversight and direction on search campaign planning, optimization, and performance
Guiding bid strategy, keyword strategy, and audience targeting recommendations for search campaigns
Partnering with execution teams to ensure search strategy is properly implemented
Provide strategic account management and client leadership, including:
Serving as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for key retail media accounts
Translating client business objectives into data-driven search campaign strategies
Conducting regular strategy reviews and business performance updates with clients
Identifying opportunities to expand retail media search investments and test new channels/tactics
Managing client expectations and ensuring alignment on campaign direction and results
Develop and communicate strategic insights and recommendations, including:
Performance analysis and reporting on search campaign results with actionable insights for improvement
Competitive benchmarking and market trend analysis to inform search strategy
Identification of optimization opportunities within existing search campaigns
Collaboration with analytics team to measure search campaign impact and ROI
Provide strategic guidance on search campaign execution, including:
Oversight of day-to-day search campaign setup, launch, and optimization
Review and approval of campaign details, audiences, assets, and messaging before activation
Escalation point for search-related strategic questions, platform issues, and tactical challenges
Mentoring of execution teams on best practices in retail media search
Proactively identify efficiencies and growth opportunities, including:
Opportunities to optimize search workflows and processes
Cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
New retail media search channels or tactics aligned to client goals
Demonstrate exceptional communication and relationship skills, managing client relationships and internal stakeholder expectations with both written and verbal updates
Qualifications
4-5+ years of experience in media planning/buying roles, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience managing retail media search campaigns (Amazon Sponsored Ads, Walmart Search Ads, Target Search Ads, or similar platforms)
Demonstrated expertise in retail media search campaign strategy, optimization, and performance management
Deep knowledge of:
1. Retail media search platforms (Amazon Sponsored Ads, Walmart Search Ads, Target Search Ads, Microsoft Advertising)
2. Search campaign optimization techniques (bid strategy, keyword targeting, audience segmentation)
3. Search campaign KPIs and measurement (ACoS, ROAS, conversion metrics, incrementality)
4. Search-specific audience management tools and features
Proven account management experience, with ability to:
1.Build and maintain strong client relationships
2. Translate client business needs into strategic recommendations
3. Present complex data and insights to non-technical audiences
4. Manage multiple accounts and prioritize based on business impact
Strategic mindset with proven ability to:
1. Develop differentiated search campaign strategies that drive business results
2. Think strategically about search customer journeys and retail media search tactics
3. Make data-informed recommendations and trade-offs
4. Advise clients on search channel expansion and multi-channel integration
CPG, Retail, or eComm experience is a plus
In-depth understanding of the retail media landscape, retail media search best practices, and advanced targeting and audience tactics specific to search
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and drive to deliver measurable results
Keen problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly as they relate to retail media platform challenges
The annual salary range for this position is $72,000 -$100,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
