Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically minded Senior Associate for our Retail Media Operations team to support the day-to-day operations of our retail media practice and lead technical implementation of operational tools and systems. This position focuses on ensuring smooth retail media operations across our accounts, managing technical projects, and optimizing operational workflows. We are seeking motivated professionals with hands-on retail media experience who are passionate about process improvement, problem-solving, and supporting the success of retail media operations.
This position reports to the Associate Director, Retail Media Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day retail media operations, including:
- Managing operational workflows and processes across retail media accounts
- Troubleshooting operational issues and escalating complex problems appropriately
- Maintaining documentation and operational standards
Assist with tool implementation, including:
- Coordinating with technology vendors, internal stakeholders, and end-users on tool rollouts
- Testing and validating new tools before team-wide implementation
- Creating and maintaining training documentation and process guides for new tools
Maintain and optimize operational processes, including:
- Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current retail media operations
- Recommending process improvements and documenting best practices
- Supporting the implementation of new operational workflows and standards
- Proactively communicating process updates to relevant teams
- Building and maintaining operational dashboards and reporting
Ensure accuracy and compliance in retail media operations, including:
- Monitoring campaign setup and delivery against operational standards
- Conducting quality assurance checks on campaign details, audiences, and assets
- Ensuring compliance with platform requirements and client specifications
- Tracking and reporting on operational KPIs and metrics
Collaborate across teams to drive operational excellence, including:
- Working with planning, execution, and analytics teams to support operational needs
- Participating in cross-functional discussions on operational improvements
- Supporting the development of operational playbooks and standards
- Gathering feedback from teams to inform operational enhancements
Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, keeping stakeholders informed on operational issues, tool implementations, and process updates
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in retail media operations, campaign execution, or ad operations roles (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target+, or similar platforms)
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for operational tracking, reporting, and data analysis
- Understanding of retail media operations, platform requirements, and campaign trafficking best practices
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent professional experience)
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and collaborative team player who supports others and contributes to operational success
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new platforms, tools, and systems quickly
- Keen troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly as they relate to retail media operations and technical issues
Knowledge of:
- Retail media network platforms (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target+, Microsoft Advertising)
- Campaign setup, trafficking, and activation processes
- Retail media operational workflows and requirements
Demonstrated project management capabilities, with ability to:
- Manage projects from planning through execution
- Track timelines, deliverables, and dependencies
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Operational mindset with:
- Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Drive to improve efficiency and eliminate bottlenecks
The annual salary range for this position is $54,000 -$65,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
