Job Description

Department and Project

This position is within the Tolling Services team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary. The team consists of IT professionals specializing in electronic road-charging solutions. Together with our partners, we develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, covering the entire business process (vehicle registrations, country booking, providing On-Board Units, position data transmission, charge calculation, and fleet billing). Leveraging digital intelligence and advanced technology, our tolling solutions facilitate seamless mobility across Europe. The team aims to enhance existing services and expand into new domains. As part of an international team collaborating with T-Systems International, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with cutting-edge tolling solutions.

Main tasks

As a Solution Manager New Business, you will work within the agile New Business Tribe of T-Systems Road User Services GmbH, supporting customer acquisition and driving growth across our organization.

You will collaborate closely with the operational tribes of TSRS, advising them on the development of new solution components and market opportunities in the electronic tolling industry, thereby creating sustainable value for our business.

As a Solution Engineer:

• Manage and strategically develop customer relationships with public authorities and tolling operators, identifying market opportunities and supporting new business acquisition across the full sales lifecycle.
• Analyze, structure, and document business and technical requirements, translating them into scalable, commercially viable, and technically robust solution concepts based on existing products and portfolios.
• Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary teams of Product Owners, System Architects, and Subject Matter Experts throughout proposal, tender, and solution development phases.
• Own and prioritize the solution backlog and product/solution portfolio, balancing short-term customer needs with medium-term product strategy and long-term market requirements.
• Coordinate solution implementation and customer engagements, working with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers while managing workshops, decision milestones, proposals, and presentations.
• Represent the company externally and support market positioning through customer meetings, industry events, trade fairs, press communications, and digital marketing activities.

Qualifications

Background and required skills:

• University degree (minimum Bachelor's level), preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience (minimum 8 years) in pre-sales, solution consulting, or the sales of complex IT solutions.
• Experience and knowledge in tolling, road user charging, or electronic fee collection systems are a strong advantage.
• Proven experience in requirements engineering, solution design, and system architecture development.
• Strong sales and customer orientation, combined with excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of sales and decision-making processes.
• Proven experience in actively acquiring new customers, identifying and developing new market opportunities, and successfully converting business opportunities into signed contracts.
• Highly motivated, well-structured, and organized working style.
• Openness to integrating new technologies and artificial intelligence into business solutions.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to lead, influence, and align diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills and affinity for working with data and decision-support information.
• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 30-50%).
• Excellent communication skills in English, and additional German language skills considered advantage
• Confident and professional presence in customer-facing presentations and discussions.
