Deutsche Telekom is the largest telecommunications group in Europe, created in 1995 when the German state postal monopoly was privatised and its telecoms arm floated. Its most valuable asset is the majority stake in T-Mobile US, which generates most of group profit, alongside German fixed and mobile networks, operations across central and eastern Europe, and T-Systems, an enterprise IT services business. Headquartered in Bonn and still partly owned by the German state and its development bank, it has invested heavily in fibre build-out in Germany while consolidating its European footprint.

As Hungary’s most attractive employer in 2025 (according to Randstad’s representative survey), Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions is a subsidiary of the Deutsche Telekom Group. The company provides a wide portfolio of IT and telecommunications services with more than 5300 employees. We have hundreds of large customers, corporations in Germany and in other European countries.

Please be informed that our remote working possibility is only available within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.

Job Description

Project Description:

The Fixed Access Rollout Orchestration (FARO) system is a cloud native software platform whose main task is the automation of business processes. FARO is based on a microservice architecture written in C# .NET. It provides process control (so called MissionScheduler) and connects to 3rd party systems in the environment of the processes (so called connectors). In the future FARO will enable our new process platform Camunda with connectors. The team in addition to developing connectors for FARO will also be responsible to develop templates and APIs for Camunda.

Activity Description:

You will be part of an innovative and agile work environment where you will be implementing future-oriented software solutions to manage and plan the hardware rollout for the fixed access network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices using C# .NET within a Kubernetes-orchestrated environment
  • Implement and improve traceability, observability, and stability of the growing microservice architecture through monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Dapr
  • Develop and enhance frontend components using Angular to deliver responsive user interfaces and support rapid feature deployment
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integration connectors for FARO and Camunda process automation platform
  • Model, configure, and optimise business processes using BPMN standards within the Camunda ecosystem
  • Containerise applications using Docker and manage deployment pipelines within Kubernetes clusters
  • Conduct code reviews, share technical expertise, and provide constructive feedback throughout the development lifecycle to maintain code quality and team growth
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues across the microservice architecture
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing emerging technologies and best practices in software development, including design patterns, clean code principles, and test-driven development

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • You hold a degree in informatics, computer science, or a related field
  • You have multiple years of professional experience as either a Fullstack or Backend Developer
  • You are proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably C#
  • You have hands-on experience with containerisation using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • You have practical experience with Camunda and are proficient in BPMN process modelling
  • You have experience in configuring and developing monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Dapr
  • You are well-versed in common software development best practices including design patterns, clean code principles, test-driven development (TDD), and version control systems (Git)
  • You possess proficient knowledge of microservice architectures, preferably with .NET and Kubernetes
  • You have experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integration connectors
  • You are analytical and solution-oriented in your approach to problem-solving
  • You are driven by a willingness to grow and continuously push yourself and your team to explore innovative ideas
  • You thrive in an agile work environment and embrace collaborative development practices
  • You are interested in telecommunication technologies and their applications
  • You are proficient in English; German language skills are a significant advantage

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • You have experience with Angular and can make quick, effective fixes to the front end
  • You have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes
  • You have demonstrated experience in performance optimisation and troubleshooting complex system issues
