Cost Engineer

About Us

Our company is the Greek branch of Delsk Group based in Athens. We expertise in the property management, construction and development of buildings in Athens.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Cost Engineer who can manage the entire project lifecycle—from preliminary feasibility to monthly execution and final closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Estimation: Establish official construction budgets and deliver accurate cost estimations based on preliminary studies.
• Feasibility Studies: Assess purchase viability and generate rough cost estimations for new property developments.
• Value Engineering: Compile preliminary Value Engineering Reports to optimize designs and drive cost reductions.
• Financial Monitoring: Track monthly actual project costs against budgets to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Subcontractor Management: Collect, evaluates, and compares subcontractor bids; review and approve monthly contractor certifications and invoices.
• Contract Control: Review, evaluate, and control all contracts and legal agreements signed with subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties.
• Procurement Advisory: Participate in selection meetings and provide strategic advice on the procurement of materials and subcontractor hiring.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Experience: 3–4 years of hands-on experience in construction cost engineering, estimating, or project controls.
• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in preparing comparative tables, reviewing contract terms, and data analysis (MS Excel, AutoCAD).
• Soft Skills: Autonomous ownership of projects, sharp negotiation instincts, and excellent communication for subcontractor meetings.
• Languages: Fluency in English and Greek.
