Job Description

Meet the Team

Join our Tax team and play a key role in supporting a fast-growing global business. Our team partners closely with finance, accounting, and external tax advisors to ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations while helping the business manage tax risk effectively. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure across multiple areas of U.S. indirect taxation, contribute to critical tax reporting processes, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Where You Come In

  • You extract and analyze tax data from tax systems to support accurate tax reporting and compliance.
  • You gather, validate, and prepare transaction documentation for monthly tax return calculations and submissions to tax authorities and third-party tax preparers.
  • You reconcile general ledger accounts to tax systems in support of month-end and year-end close activities.
  • You identify and communicate unreconciled transactions and discrepancies, partnering with internal stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • You run and review monthly general ledger reports related to tax activities.
  • You prepare tax-related journal entries and ensure supporting documentation is properly maintained.
  • You perform data entry and administrative activities associated with tax department operations.
  • You compile, organize, and maintain tax records, files, and supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness.
  • You support the preparation and filing of various U.S. indirect taxes, including Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax, Gross Receipts Tax, Business Licenses, and other tax obligations.
  • You assist with U.S. indirect tax audits and respond to information requests from auditors and tax authorities.
  • You collaborate with tax leadership, accounting teams, and external consultants to support tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • You research tax-related issues and contribute to solutions for moderately complex tax and accounting matters.
  • You build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • You provide additional tax and administrative support as needed.

What Makes You Successful

  • You bring strong experience supporting tax compliance, tax reporting, and accounting processes within a corporate environment.
  • You have a solid understanding of U.S. indirect tax concepts, including Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax, and Gross Receipts Tax.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
  • You exercise sound judgment and can work effectively within established procedures and guidelines.
  • You are highly detail-oriented and committed to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • You manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • You work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • You have strong Microsoft Excel skills and are comfortable working with large volumes of financial and tax-related data.
  • You are adaptable, flexible, and willing to support other areas of the tax and treasury function when needed.
  • You demonstrate strong organizational, research, and time-management skills.
  • Your ability to self-manage and take ownership of responsibilities allows you to work successfully with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

  • You have experience working with Oracle or other large ERP systems.
  • You have experience using Vertex, TaxView (DTS), or similar tax software solutions.
  • You bring prior experience supporting U.S. indirect tax compliance and reporting.
  • You hold a CPA designation or are actively pursuing certification.
