Dexus is an ASX-listed Australian real estate group that owns and manages a large portfolio of office and industrial properties and runs a substantial funds management platform. It invests on behalf of third-party institutional and wholesale capital across office, industrial, healthcare, retail and infrastructure assets, and expanded its platform by acquiring the real estate and domestic infrastructure equity business of AMP Capital. The group traces its history to 1984 and is headquartered in Sydney.

Dexus (ASX: DXS) is a leading Australasian fully integrated real asset group, managing a high-quality Australasian real estate and infrastructure portfolio valued at $51.4 billion. We believe that the strength and quality of our relationships will always be central to our success and are deeply connected to our purpose: Unlock potential, create tomorrow.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to build your property career with one of Australia’s leading real asset groups.

Supporting an experienced Property Management team, you will provide day-to-day administration across a diverse industrial portfolio of approximately 75 assets throughout Victoria and South Australia. You will gain broad exposure to property operations, tenant engagement, lease administration and financial processes while learning from experienced Property and Portfolio Managers.

This is a varied, team-based role suited to someone in the early stages of their property career who is eager to learn, take ownership and build a strong foundation in institutional property management.

You will make an impact by:

  • Play an active role in the day-to-day management of a diverse industrial portfolio, helping keep key portfolio priorities, projects and initiatives moving.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including coordinating inputs, tracking expenditure and supporting budget management.
  • Get involved in portfolio initiatives and projects, including capital works, sustainability, tenant experience and operational improvements.
  • Participate in regular site visits across the portfolio, gaining hands-on exposure to our properties, tenant operations, projects and improvement opportunities.
  • Help coordinate tenant engagement activities and events, building strong relationships and supporting a positive customer experience.
  • Explore opportunities to use AI, technology and new ways of working to improve processes, reporting and how we manage the portfolio.
  • Support key commercial activities including rent roll, arrears, insurance, bank guarantees and lease administration.
  • Work closely with Property Management, Portfolio Management, Finance and other teams on broader portfolio priorities and projects.
  • Take ownership of key deadlines and follow-ups, while bringing new ideas and a continuous improvement mindset to the team.

About You

You are an organised and proactive early-career professional who is genuinely interested in building a career in property. You enjoy working as part of a team, are comfortable engaging with customers and take pride in delivering accurate work.

You will be curious, willing to ask questions and motivated to learn from those around you. Importantly, you can also take ownership, work autonomously once given direction and confidently follow up tenants and stakeholders when required.

You will bring:

  • Early Careers experience in property, real estate, lease administration, facilities, customer administration or a related environment.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, ideally in property, business, commerce or a related discipline.
  • A genuine interest in industrial property and developing a long-term career in the sector.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage recurring tasks and competing deadlines across a large portfolio.
  • Confidence communicating directly with tenants, including following up outstanding arrears and insurance documentation.
  • A collaborative, positive and team-oriented approach.
  • Initiative, curiosity and the ability to identify what needs to happen next.
  • Strong learning agility and confidence using technology, digital tools and AI.
  • Experience using Yardi or another property management system would be advantageous but is not essential.
