Introduction

Being specialized in alcoholic beverages, we offer a full range of transportation services and options, from full container loads to groupage shipments, from large volumes of bulk wine to small consignments via airfreight. Our logistics services allow our customers to transport exactly what they want, when they want, in a costeffective way.

To support our continued growth and digital transformation, we are expanding our software development team with a C++/C# developer. In this role, you will join our software development department of 55+ professionals covering analysis, development, and testing. The team is highly autonomous and works closely with Product Owners to build inhouse, businessdriven applications.

Our architecture is API first, cloudnative, and centered around Microsoft Azure, with Apigee for API management and Okta for identity and access management. We are currently migrating our C++ client server transport management system to this architecture.

You will assist in the C++ development of the current client server application as well as help with the C# rest api backend. At first, the C++ programming will take the majority of your time with a shift towards C# backend development within Azure as the migration project continues on.

To be successful as a developer, you are analytical, technically strong, and comfortable translating business requirements into robust, secure, and scalable software solutions.

What will you do?

As a software engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain the C++ frontend of our transport management application.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate thirdparty services which are created design first

• Design and implement integrations between internal systems and external partners using messagebased patterns (e.g. publish/subscribe, async messaging)

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Implement security and data protection measures

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

• Write and maintain technical documentation

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Informatics or ITrelated field

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Solid understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and modern security patterns

• Experience with version control systems (Git)

• Good command of the English language (spoken and written)

• Currently living in The Netherlands within commuting distance of Haarlem

• Knowledge of MFC and ODBC

• Knowledge of C++

• Knowledge of C#

• Good command of the English language (spoken and written)

Currently living in The Netherlands within a normal commute of Haarlem

PreferredQualifications

• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture in Microsoft Azure

• Experience with API management, preferably using Apigee

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines

• If the above is not available, willingness to transform from C++ to C# API developer.
