Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.
About our Group
CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.

Frontend Developer

Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Frontend Engineer to lead the internal development and optimization of the Online Remote Update Technology. The role focus on building accessible, responsive interfaces and reusable component systems to ensure a consistent user experience across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a library of reusable components (buttons, inputs, cards) to ensure visual consistency across the entire app.
- Translate design mockups (from tools like Figma or Adobe XD) into high-quality, functional code
- Debug and fix visual inconsistencies so the app looks and works the same on multiple browsers.
- Work closely with UX designers to validate that their creative visions are technically feasible and user-friendly
- Lead architectural decisions for Web Applications, promoting best practices and modern design patterns in Front End development.
- Design Responsive and Intuitive WEB UIs so the app can identify potential errors and handle the error scenarios gracefully.
- Integrate robust RESTful and event-driven APIs for reliable and interactive system development.
- Optimize Web UI for high performance, availability, and accessibility.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, QA, and operations to deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation for API integrations, UI architecture, components and workflow design.
- Own feature delivery from design through production, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.
- Mentor and support engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards and share expertise.
- Respond to production incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive remediation.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and technology.
- Ensure solutions adhere to internal quality standards and external compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value.
