Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.
About our Group
CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.
Job Description:
· Extensive hands-on experience in MCAL configuration and integration.
· Strong experience in AUTOSAR Classic BSW Development and Configuration.
· Strong understanding of MCU peripherals, registers, interrupt handling, memory mapping, and multicore architecture.
· Strong experience with at least one of the latest-generation automotive MCU families:
o Infineon AURIX TC4x (Highly Preferred)
o Infineon AURIX TC3xx
o TI C2000
o STM Stellar SR6 P6
· Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR configuration tools, including:
o EB Tresos Studio.
o Vector DaVinci Configurator / DaVinci Developer.
· Good understanding of automotive communication protocols, including:
o CAN/CAN FD/ FlexRay / LIN
· Strong Embedded C programming skills with a focus on automotive embedded systems.
· Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills using:
o Lauterbach TRACE32
o Hardware debuggers
o Diagnostic logs
o Hardware traces
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and integration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional automotive software development environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform MCAL configuration and integration with strong hands-on expertise.
· Apply strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262 Part 6), including MPU, BIST, redundant core memory configuration, and safety-compliant software development practices.
· Configure and integrate the following AUTOSAR/MCAL modules:
o MCAL (DIO, Timer, Clock)
o GPT / ICU / PWM
o ADC
o SPI and I2C
o CAN / CAN FD / FlexRay
o DMA
o WDG Timer
o Flash / EEPROM
· Execute ECU configuration, code generation, BSW integration, build, and validation activities.
· Configure MCU-specific features, including:
o CDD development and integration for eConverter (DCDC and OBC)
o Clock configuration
o Interrupt configuration
o Memory configuration
o Multicore configuration
o Watchdog configuration
o DMA configuration
o Peripheral configuration
o Reset and start-up configuration
· Debug BSW and MCAL integration issues and perform root cause analysis at the register, driver, and hardware levels.
· Develop, configure, and integrate AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) modules.
· Collaborate closely with hardware, application software, system integration, and validation teams to ensure successful ECU delivery.
