Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.

Job Description.
We are seeking an experienced C++ developer. This role demands deep expertise in
modern C++ (C++11, C++14, C++17), hands on skills to deliver quality products
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and optimize software using C++1, adhering to clean code
principles and design patterns.
2. Utilize GIT for version control and GTest for unit testing.
3. Implement robust data structures and algorithms for improved system
Performance and performance optimization.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development with projects
goals.
5. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality.
Required Skills:
1. 5-10 years of experience in software development.
2. Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
3. Expertise in GIT for version control and GTest for unit testing.
4. Solid understanding of clean code principles, data structures and system performance optimization.
5. Experience working in a Linux environment.
6. Exposure to Agile and SAFe methodologies.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a
development team.
Nice to have
Prior experience in Automotive software or embedded software development
Knowledge of Python and Robot framework for component testing
