Requirement :

Software Engineering & Development :

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js/TypeScript and Java.

- Build and maintain highly available, resilient, and secure cloud-native applications on AWS.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed application architectures.

- Develop event-driven and asynchronous solutions using technologies such as Kafka, Amazon SQS/SNS, and RabbitMQ.

- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL data models, queries, indexes, and database access patterns.

- Apply appropriate software design patterns, clean-code principles, and engineering best practices.

- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, and security.

- Implement appropriate retry, timeout, circuit-breaker, idempotency, and error-handling patterns for distributed systems.

- Develop automated unit, integration, API, and component tests to maintain software quality.

- Participate in technical design and architecture reviews and contribute to engineering standards and reusable solutions.

- Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

L2 Application & Production Support :

- Provide Level 2 technical support for production applications and services, acting as an escalation point for incidents that cannot be resolved by L1/Operations teams.

- Investigate and resolve application, API, microservice, database, messaging, integration, infrastructure, and configuration-related production issues.

- Perform technical troubleshooting using application logs, distributed traces, metrics, database queries, AWS CloudWatch, dashboards, and other observability tools.

- Diagnose issues across distributed systems, including API failures, timeouts, performance degradation, database connectivity, message-processing failures, and upstream/downstream integration problems.

- Assess incident severity and business impact and prioritize troubleshooting and recovery accordingly.

- Restore services within agreed SLA/SLO and operational targets and provide timely technical updates during incidents.

- Participate in major incident management and collaborate with L1, L3/development, DevOps/SRE, infrastructure, database, network, security, and external/vendor teams where required.

- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or high-severity incidents and identify corrective and preventive actions.

- Implement permanent fixes to eliminate recurring incidents rather than relying solely on operational workarounds.

- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.

- Perform production health checks and proactively identify abnormal application behavior, resource utilization, error rates, latency, failed transactions, and integration failures.

- Monitor and troubleshoot asynchronous processing, including Kafka topics/consumers, SQS queues, SNS integrations, dead-letter queues, and failed/retried messages.

- Troubleshoot SQL/NoSQL issues including slow queries, connection pool exhaustion, locking, data inconsistencies, replication-related behavior, and database performance.

- Support production releases, hotfixes, rollback activities, and post-deployment validation.

- Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, operational procedures, known-error documentation, and knowledge-base articles.

- Improve alerts and dashboards to reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR).

- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive support and operational activities.

- Participate in an on-call/support rotation where required and provide support for priority incidents outside standard business hours according to the agreed support model.

- Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions with L1/support teams to improve first-line resolution capability and reduce unnecessary escalations.

- Ensure production incidents and fixes comply with organizational security, audit, change-management, and operational requirements.
