Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Role Overview

The Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist owns the analysis and advancement of regulatory matters from initial identification through resolution. The role requires turning ambiguous issues into clear strategies, assessing legal and operational implications across the full regulatory lifecycle, and translating analysis into practical action. The successful candidate will build constructive relationships with regulators, communicate the interests of the platform, its users, and its shareholders in credible and actionable terms, and maintain disciplined follow-through until each matter is closed.

This position also calls for sound judgment in using AI tools and external specialists to extend team capacity. Legal accuracy, the validity of sources and analysis, confidentiality, and the suitability of final recommendations must remain under the specialist’s human oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Review draft regulations, resolutions, legislative proposals, and bills relevant to the business, and provide expert analysis and recommendations.
• Develop a sound understanding of regulators and government bodies, engage with them constructively, and respond appropriately to official inquiries and correspondence.
• Identify and pursue effective approaches to amend relevant draft regulations, resolutions, proposals, and bills before approval, and take the necessary steps to seek annulment or revision of relevant instruments after approval.
• Conduct comparative reviews of domestic and international laws and regulations to identify emerging trends and propose innovative ideas.
• Continuously monitor new laws, regulations, and developments relevant to the business and assess their potential impact.
• Identify and analyze the business’s legal risks and recommend practical measures to reduce legal exposure.
• Identify legal benefits and incentives available to the business and develop plans to make effective use of them.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Law.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to persuade and engage effectively with team members and external institutions.
• Strong follow-through, creativity, and persistence in solving problems and identifying effective solutions.
• Proficiency in the use of AI tools.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations relevant to the digital economy.
• Ability to analyze legal texts and produce accurate, clear, and practical reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and Google Workspace, particularly Docs and Sheets.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability in carrying out assigned responsibilities.
• Intermediate English proficiency, including the ability to understand and use specialized sources.

Preferred Qualification

• Previous experience in regulatory affairs is an advantage.
