About Dwelly

Dwelly is building the AI operating system for residential lettings. Its growing network of agencies provides its AI with real-world data, continuous feedback, and control over complete workflows, making exceptional service the standard for landlords and tenants. Today, Dwelly operates more than 15,000 properties and $470 million in GMV, making it one of the UK’s ten largest lettings operators. The company has raised $263 million.

We’re a fast-growing, product-focused company, backed by top-tier investors and led by a team with deep experience in real estate, technology, and operations

Position Summary

We're looking for a Head of Community to own the central demand-generation role in Dwelly's M&A department - deliberately built as a community role, not a channel-coordination one. The job is to make Dwelly the name UK letting agency owners know, trust and admire long before they decide to sell, building genuine engagement and the clear sense that being with Dwelly is where the best owners are.

The scarce, defensible capability in this market isn't managing SEO or paid suppliers - those are commodities central marketing already runs. It's building trust and desirability among a specific, hard-to-reach group of business owners over a long cycle, so this is a craft and relationship role owned end to end, rather than a brief-and-report function sitting on top of outsourced channels.

The role carries a dual mandate: it warms the M&A pipeline - nurturing owners months or years before they are ready to sell, so BDMs and the Head of M&A inherit relationships that are already warm - and it drives platform adoption, giving owners with no intention of selling a reason to become active users and advocates. You'll personally own the core - the rooms, the relationships, the owner narrative and the LinkedIn presence - while partnering with central marketing's performance, email and SMM specialists, who run the digital channels against a shared goal you help set.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the Agency Owner Community

  • Build, grow and own Dwelly's Agency Owner Community - a defined, engaged group of UK letting and estate agency owners nurtured over the long term - and own the owner narrative, making the reasons agency owners should want to be part of what Dwelly is building felt across every touchpoint.

2. Run the In-Person Programme

  • Design and run regional roundtables, dinners, industry-event presence and owner meetups that give owners a reason to spend time with Dwelly before any sales conversation, leading with insight, benchmarking, peer connection and practical help so trust is built well ahead of any pitch.

3. Grow Organic LinkedIn Presence

  • Own Dwelly's organic LinkedIn presence with agency owners: grow the base, publish and commission content, and turn passive followers into active members.

4. Partner with Central Marketing

  • Set the M&A audience, message and goal for performance, email, SMM and SEO, agree campaigns with central marketing, and rely on them to run the digital channels - owning the craft while they run the commodity channels.

5. Warm Handoff into the M&A Pipeline

  • Work with the three BDMs to hand over warm, engaged owners at the right moment, feed them market intelligence and talking points from community conversations, and maintain community segmentation in the CRM so every owner's engagement status, last touch and next action is visible and hands off cleanly into the M&A pipeline.

6. Drive Platform Adoption

  • Build community programmes, onboarding moments and referral loops that get non-selling owners onto the Dwelly platform and keep them active.

7. Steer Priorities & Report on Impact

  • Work with the Head of M&A to keep the definition of a qualified, warm owner sharp and agree where community effort and budget should concentrate; report monthly on community health, warmed-pipeline contribution, and platform adoption - measured on outcomes like active community size, engagement quality, pipeline warmth, community-influenced appointments and deals, and platform activations, judged on trend over quarters rather than month-to-month spikes - with a clear recommendation on where to invest next.

Qualifications and Preferred Background

  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Higher degree education.
  • Startup mentality: resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-centric mindset: focus on delivering value to end-users or clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills - ability to approach challenges logically and propose practical solutions.
  • A senior community or community-led-growth leader who has built and owned an engaged community end to end, ideally for B2B or business-owner audiences - this is a Head-level, strategic role, not a social-media execution one.
  • Exceptional in-person presence: can host rooms, roundtables and dinners and earn the trust of business owners face to face.
  • A strong organic LinkedIn operator who grows and engages a professional audience without leaning on paid.
  • A narrative-builder who can define and carry a point of view that makes a specific audience want to belong.
  • Commercially literate: thinks in pipeline and warmed relationships, partners credibly with performance / email / SMM specialists and with a Head of M&A, and can make the budget case.
  • Comfortable owning outcomes without owning every channel - influences and partners rather than commands.
  • Familiarity with CRM, community and analytics tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn, community platforms, Google Analytics or similar).
  • Willingness to travel regularly for events and owner meetups.
  • Experience in financial services or a B2B scale-up is a strong advantage.
  • Nice to have: a Head of Community or senior community lead from a B2B SaaS, marketplace or proptech business; a founder or community-builder who has grown a professional or owner community from scratch; a membership, association or network director (property, franchise or trade body) who has run an owner community as a growth engine; a field, relationship or partnerships marketing leader with an events-led, relationship-first track record; or a commercially-minded content or brand lead who has built audience and demand for a niche B2B audience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Location: Hybrid (UK), with regular travel for events and owner meetups.
  • Competitive salary with the potential for equity options based on performance, recognising exceptional contributions to our integration success.

What is it like being a Dwell-er?

Feel free to check out Dwelly Core Principles. That’s about what we believe in, how we operate and make decisions.

What we offer is not a fancy office or a static workplace. Instead, this is solving one of worlds’ most complex problems in the largest consumer industry in the world (residential rentals), to improve the experience for >30% of households (>5M in the UK, and >100M including EU and US) that live in rental homes.

This is about disrupting the largest, most antiquated industry in the world, with one of the strongest operational and technical teams that exist in the UK and the EU. We work hard, and we shoot for extremely ambitious results. But we want people to be proud of what they’ve built and be able to look back and say one day “hell yeah, that was me that did it all”.

  • Customer obsession rather than competitive focus
  • Passion for invention
  • Operational excellence
  • Long-term thinking
