About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Lead SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant to join our SAP implementation team. The person in this role will lead Finance workstreams in S/4HANA implementation programmes for various customers across different industries.

This is a senior, customer-facing consulting role requiring strong SAP S/4HANA Finance expertise, proven implementation experience, architectural thinking, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable SAP solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead SAP FI/S/4HANA Finance implementation activities across project phases, from design and configuration to testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

• Gather and analyzebusiness requirements, run client workshops, and translate Finance processes into practical SAP solution designs.

• Configure and support key Finance areas such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cash Management, and integration with Controlling.

• Prepare functional specifications, support developments, and ensure alignment with standard SAP processes and clean-core principles.

• Coordinate with integration, migration, development, reporting, and testing teams to ensure end-to-end Finance solution quality.

• Support data migration, testing, issue resolution, user acceptance testing, and business readiness activities.

• Act as a trusted Finance consultant for client stakeholders, providing guidance, managing expectations, and escalating risks where needed.

• Occasionally, contribute to presales and business development activities by supporting RFP/RFI responses, solution presentations, client workshops, and opportunity qualification for the Finance and Controlling stream.

Qualifications & experience:

• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANAFinance and ideally Controlling.

• Participation in at least 3full-cycle SAP implementation projects, includingat least 2 ina leadrole.

• Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance, Universal Journal, Controlling processes, and cross-module integration.

• Experience with greenfield, brownfield, and selective data transition approaches.

• Proven customer-facing experience, including running workshops, presenting solutions, and managing stakeholders.

• Ability to design end-to-end business processes and translate them into SAP functional designs.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead workstream-level delivery.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Willingness and flexibility to travel for client engagements and project-related activities, as required.

Additional qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Controlling, SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, Product Costing, Margin Analysis, Project Systemor Treasury.

• Architectural mindset with the ability to propose scalable, standardized, and supportable solutions.

• Experience in pre-sales activities, such as RFP responses, solution proposals, estimates, demos, or client presentations.

• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.

• SAP S/4HANA Finance or Controlling certification.

• Understanding of integration with SAP BTP, SAP CPI, SAP Analytics Cloud, or other cloud solutions.

• Good command of German, both written and spoken.
