About the Role
As aSenior Acoustics & Vibration Engineer,you will take ownership of delivering robust acoustics and vibration solutions across the product development lifecycle. You will combine experimental and analytical approaches to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and ensuring reliable andhigh performanceproductdelivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the development and delivery of acoustic and vibration performance throughout product development cycles.
Define, capture,and manage acoustics requirements and validation strategies.
Apply Dyson methodologies and engineering best practices to deliver solutions on time, on specification, on cost, and on quality.
Develop and implement experimental and/or simulation-based approaches (experimental testing, FEA/CFD/system modelling, etc).
Diagnose and resolve acousticandvibration issues using techniques such as signal analysis, noise source identification, transfer path analysis, etc.
Identifyand mitigate technical risks early, ensuringtimelyand robust delivery.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic solutions into product designs.
Communicate findings clearly through data-driven insights and technical reviews.
Contribute to continuous improvement of tools,methodologiesand engineering practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
About You:
Degree in Mechanical,Aerospace,Mechatronics engineering orsimilar.
Proven experience in product development with strong analytical focus.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems and failure analysis.
Experience in signal processing and vibration analysis (FFT, FRF, spectrogram, waterfall, etc)isrequired.
Experience in acoustics techniques such as TPA, ODS, noise localisation, psychoacoustics ishighly desirable.
Experience with simulation tools (FEA, CFD, or system modelling) and understanding of statistical methods/ Six Sigma tools are preferred.
Demonstratedrive, enthusiasm, self-motivationanda proactive approach to problem-solving.
