KMTR is a strategic cross-border transport greenfield corridor connecting the DRC Copperbelt with Zambia and regional trade routes to Southern and Eastern Africa. The activity includes toll road operations, weighbridge facilities, One-Stop Border Posts (OSBP), asset maintenance, customer services, and supporting corporate functions operating across two jurisdictions.

Reports to the General Manager

  • The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all KMTR facilities and support services. The role oversees the operational readiness, safety, and sustainability of buildings, utilities, accommodation, and corporate services required to support the concession's activities.
  • The Facilities Manager ensures that all operational and administrative facilities are maintained to the highest standards while supporting business continuity, employee well-being, and operational efficiency across the concession.
  • In addition to the facilities scope, the Facilities Manager will have overall responsibility for Human Resources, subcontractor supervision and spare parts stock management required to support the efficient operation of the concession.

Facilities Management :

  • Manage the maintenance and operation of all company facilities.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of utilities and support services.
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans for buildings and equipment.

Corporate Services :

  • Oversee accommodation, fleet, security, cleaning, catering, and other support services.
  • Manage outsourced service providers and facility contracts.

HSE & Compliance :

  • Ensure facilities comply with HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.

Budget & Performance :

  • Manage facilities budgets and operating costs.
  • Monitor contractor performance and service quality.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and sustainability.

People Leadership :

  • Lead, coach and develop the facility management Team in Zambia & DRC.
  • Foster a strong culture of accountability, safety and inclusion.
  • Drive succession planning and talent development.

We are seeking a proactive facilities management professional with strong operational expertise and experience managing multi-site infrastructure in demanding environments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering,

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in facilities or property management.
  • Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, mining, or large operational sites.
  • Experience in Central Africa, preferably in the DRC and/or Zambia.
  • Strong experience managing outsourced services and contractors.
