Join our team in Sderot and take part in developing and manufacturing advanced defense systems. We are looking for a Mechanical Product Engineer to lead NPI and manufacturing processes, provide engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and improve manufacturing processes for advanced defense products
Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) activities, including transferring new products from development to production and supporting integration and assembly processes
Take full technical ownership of products throughout their lifecycle, including troubleshooting serial production issues and providing effective engineering solutions
Design production fixtures, jigs, and specialized tools for manufacturing and testing activities
Provide ongoing engineering support to production lines in Israel and abroad
Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Procurement, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and Manufacturing
Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and engineering drawings
Lead Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
Train, mentor, and support technical and engineering personnel
Requirements:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering - Mandatory
At least 3 years of industry experience - Mandatory
Hands-on experience with mechanical manufacturing processes and the ability to read and interpret mechanical and assembly drawings - Mandatory
Proficiency in SolidWorks - Mandatory
Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors
Strong English communication skills and ability to work in a global environment
Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly production lines
Experience in designing fixtures and jigs - Advantage
Experience working with PLM systems - Advantage
Knowledge of electro-optical systems and/or multidisciplinary systems - Advantage
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead tasks and drive execution
Self-motivated, responsible, creative thinker with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving abilities
