Lead driver training sessions on defensive driving techniques, passenger assistance, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
Communicate effectively with drivers via two-way radios to manage route updates and safety alerts.
Assist passengers with special needs or mobility challenges, ensuring a welcoming and accessible environment.
Monitor driving in adverse weather conditions and provide guidance on safe operation during challenging circumstances.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, incident reports, and shift logs for compliance purposes.
Foster a customer-focused atmosphere by addressing passenger inquiries professionally and courteously.
Skills
Proven experience in paratransit services, shuttle driving, or delivery driving with a focus on passenger safety.
Excellent communication skills for effective driver coordination and passenger interactions.
Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs proactively.
Demonstrated defensive driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with driving in adverse weather conditions preferred.
Knowledge of two-way radios for driver communication; ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Experience in supervising or leading a team of drivers in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
