About the Role
This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a Data Engineer Tech Lead who thrives in a hands-on role while providing technical leadership. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining a central data storage and processing layer, ensuring standards are high and the platform evolves effectively.
Main Responsibilities
Core responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing data pipelines for reliable and efficient data flows.
Ensuring data availability and security in the central storage layer.
Collaborating with data stakeholders to support data-driven initiatives.
Implementing best practices in development, testing, and deployment.
Optimizing use of AWS services for data management and performance.
Contributing to Generative AI projects through effective data management.
Troubleshooting issues across data pipelines.
Key Requirements
Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, and Lambda.
Solid understanding of databases and data processing pipelines.
Hands-on experience with software engineering best practices.
Familiarity with Generative AI technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.
Proven ability to lead architectural design and initiatives.
Experience mentoring engineers in a hands-on manner.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of data orchestration tools and frameworks.
Experience working with Content Management Systems.
Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
Exposure to cost management strategies in cloud environments.
