Role: Senior IT Support Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to join a global support organization focused on delivering exceptional support for a suite of cloud-native, in-house developed applications. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of providing world-class application support, with a keen interest in cloud technology, microservices, and machine learning.
Main Responsibilities:
Engage with application end users to analyze and document issues and take responsibility for their successful resolution.
Work closely with DevOps, SREs, Test Engineers, and Development teams to implement permanent solutions.
Further advance our monitoring framework and ensure 24/7 system and support availability via on-call support.
Collaborate with both IT and business teams to improve the availability, performance, functionality, and security of our platforms.
Utilize industry-leading technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, and Docker.
Key Requirements:
6-9 years of experience in application or technical support.
Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Foundational knowledge of microservice architecture and ITSM tools.
Familiarity with Atlassian products.
Experience with a programming or scripting language is a plus.
Strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity.
Excellent communication skills and command of the English language.
Ability to work well in a team and stay organized.
Nice to Have:
Experience mentoring junior team members.
Knowledge in advanced application performance optimization techniques.
Contributions to capacity planning and strategic initiatives.
Other Details:
This position is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite in Lisbon, Portugal. The initial contract will run from September 1, 2026, to March 1, 2027, with a maximum rate of 45 EUR per hour.
