Senior Tech Lead - C# / .NET

One of our clients in Copenhagen is looking for a Senior Tech Lead to play a pivotal role within an established platform, overseeing the modernization initiative that includes the development of a new mobile application and API. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities, focusing on stabilizing the codebase while ensuring robust technical decisions are made to drive the project's success.

Main Responsibilities

In this hands-on lead position, you will:

• Lead the technical direction of the modernization initiative from concept through delivery

• Conduct a structured technical assessment of the existing codebase and recommend a path forward.

• Establish development standards and engineering guidelines for team consistency.

• Identify architectural gaps and define a clear development roadmap

• Assess team capabilities and implement necessary delivery practices

• Define API contracts ensuring consistency and secure integration

• Uphold coding standards through code reviews and quality improvements

• Provide clear guidance to developers translating architectural principles into actionable decisions

• Act as a trusted partner, aligning technical execution with business goals.

Key requirements

• Approx. 10 years of professional software development experience

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead responsible for architecture and development standards

• Strong expertise in C# and .NET, including both .NET Framework and modern .NET

• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases, including raw SQL (performance, readability, debugging, troubleshooting)

• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/GitHub), including setting up quality gates

• Understanding of testing strategies, including unit and integration tests

• Experience in establishing architecture standards and engineering practices across a team - now just following them

• Experience designing and implementing API contracts effectively, including required vs. optional fields and error handling standards

• Experience using architecture validation tooling (e.g. NetArchTest or similar)

• Strong understanding of software design principles (e.g. SOLID) applied pragmatically in existing

  codebases

• Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools for design, testing, code reviews, and refactoring

• Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban or similar)

• Proficient in Jira and Confluence as part of day-to-day collaboration and delivery processes

• Fluent in Danish and English, able to communicate technical concepts clearly

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs to both

  technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have

• Frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
