Support Engineer (Unix)

We're looking for a hands-on Operations Engineer who enjoys working close to production systems and takes pride in keeping business-critical applications stable, secure, and performing at their best.
If you're comfortable in a Linux/UNIX environment, enjoy troubleshooting complex issues, and like improving systems through automation, we'd love to hear from you.
This role requires onsite presence at our Kraków office six times per month.
What you'll be doing
You'll become part of a team responsible for a portfolio of enterprise applications, ensuring they remain available, reliable, and secure for business users.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting and maintaining critical production applications
Monitoring application and server health and responding to incidents
Troubleshooting issues across Linux/UNIX servers, applications, and databases
Working with Microsoft SQL Server to investigate and resolve production issues
Performing operating system and application patching
Managing SSL/TLS certificates and supporting certificate renewals
Implementing infrastructure and operational changes following change management processes
Automating routine operational tasks using Bash scripting
Working with monitoring dashboards to identify issues before they impact users
Collaborating with infrastructure, development, and business stakeholders to continuously improve service reliability
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has practical, hands-on experience supporting production environments.
You'll ideally bring:
3+ years of experience in Operations, Infrastructure, Production Support, or Systems Engineering
Strong Linux/UNIX administration skills
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (SQL/T-SQL)
Experience managing production incidents and infrastructure changes
Good Bash scripting skills
Experience working with JIRA or similar ticketing systems
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Professional communication skills in English
Nice to have
Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management (e.g. Venafi)
DevOps or automation experience
Knowledge of JavaScript
Experience with Smart Forms Designer or Kofax
French language skills
