Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a Senior Application Support Specialist with 6-9 years of experience to provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of critical application issues. The role demands advanced skills in system reliability and performance, alongside the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
• Resolve the most complex and critical application issues.
• Coordinate with other IT teams for seamless resolution of production incidents.
• Communicate effectively about critical incidents and improvements.
• Monitor system performance and collaborate on application enhancements.
• Develop and maintain Error Budgets for supported applications.
• Implement automated alerts and monitoring of applications.
• Lead support-related projects and initiatives.
• Generate and analyze reports on support metrics.
• Mentor junior team members and provide advanced training.

Key Requirements

• 6-9 years of application support experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and Kafka.
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP is highly preferred.
• Understanding of Kafka and observability concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Location preference: Lisbon or Warsaw.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Elastic, Splunk, Dynatrace, or New Relic for monitoring solutions.
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Technical specialist profile versus traditional support roles.

Other Details

The applicant must be willing to convert to a permanent position after 12 months. The role entails a hybrid work arrangement with a requirement to be onsite 3 days per week.
