The Nonqualified Investment Operations Specialist is responsible for day-to-day financial transactions for an assigned book of business. This role partners with internal departments and external parties to process financial transactions related to corporate-owned life insurance, split-dollar life insurance, mutual funds, and nonqualified plan administration.

What You Will Do

• Process asset and liability rebalancing transactions in accordance with signed client directives
• Prepare and maintain asset and liability reporting
• Serve as a day-to-day client contact for corporate-owned life insurance (COLI) and split-dollar life insurance, responding to technical questions and ad hoc requests in a timely manner
• Complete daily service deliverables and client-specific operational activities to support accurate, high-quality client service
• Administer complex Microsoft Excel rebalancing and premium-listing models
• Use Metrix and nonqualified (NQ) administration systems to support client servicing, financial transaction processing, and operational activities for assigned accounts
• Implement and maintain current client procedures and documentation
• Participate in client team meetings and provide updates regarding assigned book-of-business responsibilities
• Escalate client requests to management when requested services fall outside the applicable service agreement
• Perform quality-control reviews for client projects and service deliverables
• Keep team members informed of client projects, servicing expectations, and relevant developments
• Analyze issues, collect and evaluate data, establish facts, draw conclusions, make decisions within established authority, and escalate issues when appropriate

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, nonqualified plan administration, life insurance, financial services, accounting, or a related field
• State Life Insurance license or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, large-data management, workbook maintenance, and financial/rebalancing models
• Basic financial acumen and mathematical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support client-facing interactions
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and escalate issues appropriately
• FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 registrations
• FINRA Fingerprinting required

What Will Set You Apart

• Knowledge of qualified or nonqualified benefit plan administration, life insurance, finance, accounting, financial modeling, or another technically oriented benefits-related field
• Experience with corporate-owned life insurance (COLI), split-dollar life insurance, mutual funds, or nonqualified benefit plans
• Experience using Metrix or other nonqualified plan administration platforms

Base Salary Range

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
