Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from multiple source systems into GCP-based platforms
• Develop and implement data transformation logic using SQL, dbt, Python, or similar tools within GCP architectures
• Optimize GCP-based data solutions for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Establish and enforce data quality checks, validation frameworks, and comprehensive monitoring for production pipelines
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, data architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Implement data governance, security controls, role-based access management, and compliance standards within GCP environments
• Drive CI/CD automation and deployment processes for data engineering workflows
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all data systems and processes

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related fields
• Proven hands-on experience with GCP services and architecture in production environments
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex query development and optimization
• Strong experience designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for cloud-based data platforms
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and automation
• Demonstrated expertise with data transformation and orchestration tools (such as dbt, Airflow, Matillion, Fivetran, or Informatica)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional design patterns
• Knowledge of security best practices, access control mechanisms, and data governance frameworks
• Knowledge of performance tuning, workload management, and cost optimization strategies
• Familiarity with real-time or near-real-time data ingestion patterns
• Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and governance tools
• GCP certifications
