About the team

This is a newly formed team within Payment Operations, built to give Eneba end-to-end visibility into the payment funnel that supports our 20m+ active users across 17+ payment service providers. Today, there is no single, reliable view of funnel health - this team exists to build one: the alerting, dashboards, and reporting needed to identify issues early, quantify their business impact, and route them to the right owner for resolution, whether the root cause sits with us or with a provider.

As a newly established function, the team operates with a strong bias toward action and iteration - validating ideas quickly through small, working proofs of concept rather than long planning cycles, and building up from there.

About You

You bring hands-on experience working within a payment funnel and are comfortable navigating a complex, multi-provider environment - you understand concepts like decline codes and 3DS flows, not just in theory but in practice. You take initiative to investigate issues independently rather than waiting to be assigned a defined task, and you can communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders without a deep payments background. You're equally comfortable building something from first principles and operating without an established playbook.

Responsibilities

• Take diagnostic ownership of checkout funnel health - surfacing alerts, insights, and defects before they become business-critical.

• Lead root-cause investigations that distinguish engineering defects from user-behavior patterns, and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.

• Support the funnel's reporting cadence to cross-functional teams, translating data into insights that drive measurable improvements in authorization rate and conversion.

• Analyze authorization-rate, decline-code, and multi-PSP performance to identify the highest-impact bottlenecks in the funnel.

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Fraud on the diagnostic work behind funnel issues and processor outages.

• Develop into a trusted point of contact for payment funnel health within the team.

Requirements

Must-have

• Payments funnel literacy: interchange, decline codes, FX, tokenization, 3DS, fraud fundamentals.

• Demonstrated root-cause analysis on funnel drop-off or decline patterns - technical vs. behavioral.

• Able to translate complex data and customer-behavior insights for audiences without deep technical or domain context.

Nice-to-have

• Self-serve BI/dashboard tool familiarity for personal investigation speed.

• SQL fluency for independent investigation.

• Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-changing or high-growth environment.

• Multi-PSP comparative analysis experience.

Salary: EUR 40,000-60,000 Euro a year

Salary ranges may vary. We're seeking candidates with varied experience levels; from individual contributors to functional leaders in this space.

We're an international team and our business language of choice is English. Good English level is required, proficiency is preferred.
