The ideal candidate combines impeccable taste and strong conceptual thinking with a nimble, proactive, can-do attitude. Creative Concepting & Art Direction

  • Develop compelling creative concepts and execute strong visual narratives across photography, video, design, and integrated campaigns that bring the Equinox brand to life.
  • Partner with Creative Director, copywriters, and designers to translate creative briefs into sophisticated, strategically grounded ideas.
  • Bring a distinct creative point of view while remaining collaborative, adaptable, and open to feedback.
  • Stay at the forefront of design, fashion, photography, and contemporary culture, bringing fresh perspectives to the work.

Photography, Video & Content Production

  • Concept and art direct photo and video shoots in collaboration with photographers, directors, stylists, producers, and external partners, with the ability to independently lead mid-tier productions from concept through post-production.
  • Develop creative treatments, mood boards, shot lists, and visual references to communicate a clear creative vision.
  • Manage communications with and provide feedback to outside creative partners, ensuring that the work is executed to match the vision.
  • Oversee image selection, retouching, editing, and final asset delivery to ensure alignment with creative direction and brand standards.
  • Bring an understanding of motion, video, and dynamic content to the development of conceptual visual storytelling.

Collaboration & Creative Leadership

  • Take ownership of projects from initial briefing through final delivery, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of designers, providing ongoing feedback, and performance oversight.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, marketing, digital, social, and production teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact work.
  • Communicate creative ideas clearly and confidently, presenting concepts and incorporating feedback effectively.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the flexibility to jump in wherever needed.
  • Contribute to the overall creative culture by bringing fresh ideas, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to raising the standard of the work.
  • 5-7 years of experience in art direction, graphic design, or a hybrid creative role, ideally within luxury, fashion, lifestyle, wellness, or premium consumer brands.
  • Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, sophisticated design execution, and a highly refined visual aesthetic.
  • Proven experience designing across digital and print, with deep knowledge of digital design principles, platforms, and best practices.
  • Strong foundation in typography, layout, visual identity, photography, and integrated campaign development.
  • Experience art directing photo and video shoots, with a desire to take on greater ownership of productions.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Proficiency in motion graphics, animation, and video editing is a significant plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver exceptional work under tight deadlines.
